Declaration type-approval data
About this product
When selling a passenger vehicle abroad, the foreign registration authority may request a Vehicle Type Approval Data Statement (VTG). This document contains technical information comparable to a CVO (Certificate of Compliance) or COC (Certificate of Conformity) and supports the registration of the vehicle in many European countries.
The VTG is issued by A2SP, the official RDW provider, and is accepted in the majority of European Union member states. Please note: this document is not accepted in Portugal, Croatia, Belgium, or Spain.
A VTG is not an official manufacturer-issued COC, but a statement based on the available data from the vehicle’s type approval. Requesting and using this statement is entirely at your own risk.
As the statement is issued specifically for your registration number, an application cannot be cancelled or refunded once it has been processed.
VTG statements can only be requested for passenger vehicles from model year 1996 onwards that are registered in the Netherlands.
Applications for commercial vehicles, motorcycles, caravans, trailers, or classic cars cannot be processed.
Availability and Delivery
You can request the statement 24/7, after which it will be delivered digitally.

The use and acceptance of the statement are entirely the responsibility of the applicant.
Cancellation or returns are not possible after processing, as the statement is issued specifically for the vehicle.
